WINGATE earned their second win of the season when Reece Beckles-Richards’ 57th-minute close-range finish edged this tight encounter.
The first real chance went to Margate’s Frannie Collin, whose shot from just outside the box was tipped wide by Wingate keeper Shane Gore.
Wingate failed to make any clear cut chances in the first half, although Beckles- Richards and Rob Laney showed Wingate’s attacking intent.
Just before the break a fine Margate move was rounded off by a venomous strike from Matt Bodkin which flew wide.
