SCARBOROUGH Athletic had to work hard to seal a narrow win over Ramsbottom United.
The home side burst out of the blocks and took the lead on 15 minutes when Michael Coulson curled a delightful free-kick over the wall and into the bottom corner.
Their lead was doubled just after the half-hour mark when Max Wright cut in from the flank and fired against the post, with the rebound falling at the winger’s feet to prod into the back of the net.
