RUSHDEN & Diamonds put up an impressive display as the team from Northamptonshire thrust Uxbridge aside.
Rushden began the first half well and took the lead after nine minutes from a Ryan Robbins’ header. AFC Rushden soon made it 2-0 in the 18th minute, Tom Lorraine forcing home a corner after poor marking from Uxbridge’s defence. In the 45th minute Lorraine out-muscled Watson and fired low past the goalkeeper making it 3-0. In the 67th minute as Sam Brown had a free header from a corner making it 4-0 to Rushden.
