REDS HAUL IN ASHFORTH

OSSETT Town have moved swiftly to appoint Lee Ashforth as their new manager following the resignation of Grant Black.
A New Year’s Day defeat to rivals Ossett Albion made it eight defeats in nine, which signalled the end for Black, who guided the club to the Evo-Stik North play-off final last season.
Ashforth took over as caretaker and has now been handed the role permanently by chairman James Rogers after backing him as the most suitable candidate to get the club back on track.
