SHIELDS SWOOP FOR JACK THE LAD

SOUTH SHIELDS have given their promotion push a boost – by bringing former Stoke City youngster Jack Devlin to the club.
Devlin, 19, earned his move to the Premier League last January after impressive spells in the Northern League for Newcastle Benfield, North Shields and Easington.
The striker has experience under South Shields boss Graham Fenton, who led his side to the top of Evo-Stik North ahead of the weekend, at North Shields and Fenton can’t wait to get Devlin firing.
