SCREECH PENALTY SAVE IS IN VAIN

PENALTIES made the difference as Winchester and Barnstaple fought out a draw at the Simplyhealth Ground.
Barnstaple keeper Aaron Screech saved the first penalty, from Jamie Barron, on 40 minutes after Chris Ibbeson had clumsily fouled Rob Carr.
But he could not keep out a second as Pat Cox opened the scoring for Winchester when he drilled in his spot-kick nine minutes into the second half.
Their lead did not last long, however, as Barnstaple’s Alex Gray equalised on 62 minutes.
