STIMSON’S MESSAGE FOR JIMMY

AFC HORNCHURCH manager Jimmy McFarlane is on the road to recovery after suffering a stroke.
McFarlane was rushed to hospital early on Monday morning and was being monitored in the trauma ward at Queen’s Hospital in Romford. An Urchins statement read: “All at AFC Hornchurch, the management, staff and players continue to wish Jimmy a speedy recovery and our thoughts are with Jimmy and his family at this time.”
Thurrock boss Mark Stimson was one of McFarlane’s wellwishers, saying: “I used to play against Jimmy at Canvey and Grays and it was a proper battle!
