AWAY-day glories was the story of the day in the Evo- Stik South as Leek Town, Frickley, Kidsgrove and Peterborough Sports all registered crucial victories on their travels.
Perhaps the most significant of these was Leek’s 3-1 win away at mid-table Spalding that lifts them above Stamford into the play-off positions in sixth. Stamford lost 3-1 away at Romulus which means Leek are left celebrating, especially given that they’d gone behind in the game to Ben Davison’s strike on 18 minutes.
