WISBECH began life in the Evo-Stik Northern East league with a narrow home defeat.
A close-range effort by Tyler Walton after 15 minutes gave Frickley the points in a closelyfought encounter at the Fenland Stadium.
But newly-promoted Wisbech missed a glorious chance to share the points when Danny Setchell’s spot kick was saved by Hugo Warhurst on 68 minutes.
Promotion-favourites Frickley had the better of the first half but the Fenmen changed their shape in the second half and deserved a point on the overall balance of play.
