IN A lively and entertaining game in the sun at Ashby Avenue, the points were shared between Lincoln United and Carlton Town. United had more possession in the first period and created a number of chances and halfchances.
However, they were regularly denied though by resolute defending, good goalkeeping, and wayward finishing.
As so often happens, they were made to regret wasting these opportunities when influential Town striker Ben Hutchinson rose high to bury a header in the 43rd minute.
