TRAFFORD were left to rue missed chances as they shared the spoils against a spirited Widnes side.
An Aaron Burns free kick was saved by Owen Wheeler before Trafford midfielder Jack Dorney struck a sweet half volley against the crossbar.
Dorney was unlucky once more in the 58th minute when he hit the post. But two minutes later Trafford forged ahead when Dorney’s corner was headed home by Ross Davidson.
In the 81st minute Widnes rocked the home fans when danger man Ben Hodkinson crossed and George Webster netted from ten yards.
