A BRILLIANT second half performanace was not enough for Rudy Funk’s bottom-of-the-table AFC Mansfield to earn a much-needed result, as they were edged out 2-1 by Spalding United at the Forest Town Arena.
The visitors went ahead in bizarre fashion when James Hugo’s corner kick crept in at the near post, before former AFC striker Kieran Wells coolly slotted underneath Jason White to double Spalding’s advantage.
