BITMEAD MAKES HIS MARK

HAYES & Yeading United have a healthy six-point cushion at the top of the South Central Division, but had to settle for a point on Saturday as Ashford Town held them to a 2-2 draw.
Ashford took the lead through Mark Bitmead after five minutes but Toby Little equalised just after the half-hour, doggedly persisting down the left before cutting in and shooting past Rhys Forster.
The scores stayed that way until 15 minutes from time and it was the same man on the scoresheet – Little twisting and turning in the box before firing into the top corner.
