WESTFIELD are back within a win of BetVictor Isthmian League South Central top spot after a 5-0 home thrashing of Ashford Town.
Elijah Simpson and Aaron Watson were both at the double though the scoreline perhaps flattered the hosts, who benefited from good fortune for both their opening goals.
Max Blackmore and Simpson both netted within the opening 25 minutes, with Simpson wrapping up the points before Watson’s late double.
Waltham Abbey ensured they’ll go in to 2020 still in the hunt for promotion after their 3-1 win at home to Harlow.
