HI all, and a belated Happy New Year everyone. Before Christmas I didn’t get to see much football as with all the rain we’ve experienced.
This causes big problems for lower league clubs, as high attendances could be expected around the holiday season. Clubs don’t have money coming through the turnstiles yet must continue to pay wages, rent etc. Also, the games are usually rearranged to a midweek date, in January or February, a time that won’t be as appealing to most fans, and therefore a much smaller gate.
