RACISM PROTEST WILL BE PROBED

THE Kent FA have begun an investigation into a claim that racial abuse led Holmesdale’s players to walk off the pitch in protest during last Saturday’s Southern Counties East League Division One game at Rochester United.
The visitors say boss Lee Roots led his players off in protest after one of them reacted to being verbally abused in an off-the-ball incident before receiving a red card as a result.
Rochester claim the visiting player had been sent off after he spat at and head-butted an opponent, and that no racist remark had been heard.
