■ VICKERS were the stronger team throughout this encounter and deserved their three points.
Ashford made their own intentions known when Tom Fagg unleashed a shot that had Vickers stopper Nick Blue at full stretch.
But the hosts persistence paid off when Ainsley Everett coolly slotted the ball past Sam Mott.
A few minutes later, some excellent passing play allowed Charlie MacDonald to score George Purcell scored a penalty to redcuce the arrears and Adrian Stone went close for the visitors.
