■ CAMERON Watson’s 61st-minute strike rescued a point for Soham Town Rangers against Maldon & Tiptree.
The visitors started the better, keeping the ball well, but didn’t create an opening to go with their good play.
Soham grew into the game towards the end of the half, with Jon Kaye testing the visiting custodian with a strike from 30 yards.
It was the hosts who got on the front foot at the start of the second half, but Maldon took the lead in the 54th minute with a header from Shomari Barnwell.
