■ HERNE BAY took the points thanks to late goals from Michael Salako and Gil Carvarlo.
After an even opening 15 minutes the visitors’ Alfie Eldridge beat the offside trap but placed his shot wide of keeper Harry Brooks.
Bay hit straight back with Carvarlo forcing Sports custodian Andrew Walker into a full stretch diving save at his far post. Defender Harrison Pont followed with a rasping volley from fully 35 yards smashing against the woodwork.
