CIRENCESTER head converted from close range in the 12th and 14th minutes to give the visitors a big advantage early on.
Rovers pulled one back with a world-class strike emerged victorious following a bitterly cold afternoon in Barton.
Rovers started brightly after ends were switched on the toss of the coin, but it was a five minutes of sloppy defending by Barton that cost them any chance of a win.
The visitors’ Ben Whitefrom Taylor Rhiney just four minutes later - and that’s the way it stayed until late in the game.
