DUNSTON extended their unbeaten run to seven games after edging a close game against fellow North East play-off hopefuls Consett.
Consett's best chance of an even first half came after 38 minutes, when Jake Orrell threatened to run through the whole Dunston defence, but was denied by a superb tackle by Josh King.
It remained goalless at half- time, and there was a crucial 66th-minute moment when Consett had a strong penalty appeal for a handball by Mc- Donald waved away.
