FC United of Manchester, dismantled North-East outfit Newcastle Benfield 3-0 on Wednesday in another convincing win, progressing through to the semi-finals of the League Cup.
The hosts started the game strongly, and their impressive play was rewards in the 36th minute. A sweet hit from the boot of Alex Canning nestled into the back of the net.
It was a tight 1-0 game at the break but FC United were, in reality, the more dominant team.
