■ IAN Skinner’s final league game of his five season tenure as Ashington manager came to a joyous end with a 2-0 victory.
Andrew Cartwright reminded Ashington fans what they had been missing with 15 minutes played as he dinked over Tom Jackson for the game’s opener.
