RUGBY Town endeda run of five-straight defeats with an impressive victory over Lye Town.
The visitors raced in front when Josh Thomas nodded in Chris Clements’ inviting delivery from inside the six-yard box.
Lye levelled after the break when Paul Hathaway parried Ewan Edwards’ low drive to Matt Gardner, who netted a simple rebound.
The game turned when Lye’s Syrus Warren-Paul was shown a second yellow. The Flyers’ misery was compounded when Rugby were awarded a penalty which Trey Charles coolly slotted away.
