■ CONCORD started brightly and didn’t relinquish their authority, with an early opening for young Connor Brooks coming close with his rasping volley testing the palms of Max Spence.
Brooks had another bite at the cherry with a flicked header being parried away before Alfie Gilbey’s powerful strike was tipped over by Spence.
