■ THIS clash between the two sides near the bottom of the table went the way of Coventry Sphinx.
The deadlock was broken in the 33rd minute when Kyle Carey scored from the penalty spot after Jack Downes saw his shot hit the hand of defender Ben Humphreys.
Coventry got their second just 10 minutes later when Damian Kelly did well to combine with Jordan Hayward before he slotted home his first goal for Coventry Sphinx.
After the break, Hinckley LR threw men forward looking for a way back into the game.
