EMLEY battled blustery conditions and a stubborn Grimsby before celebrating a first double since returning to the Northern Premier League.
They took the lead in fortuitous circumstances after half an hour when Isaac Baldwin’s corner drifted directly into the net.
A four-match sequence without a victory in front of their own supporters seemed likely to end when Luke Parkin doubled the Pewits’ lead early in the second half, sliding to connect with Amir Birchil’s driven cross to the back post.
