■BASEMENT-club City of Liverpool picked up their fifirst win since October as they defeated fellow strugglers Hanley Town.
Andy Owens broke the deadlock after ten minutes as he profited from some calamitous defending.
It was a case of even more suspect defending from Hanley as they allowed the visitors to race into a 3-0 lead thanks to strikes from Hugo Rodriquez after 37 minutes and Xenon Bahula after 44 minutes.
Hanley had a lifeline just four minutes into the second half when Sean Cooke scored from the spot.
