■ LOUGHBOROUGH Students edged Grantham to victory at the Meres in a tight contest.
The visitors started brightly, but Grantham’s defence held fifirm.
Grantham took the lead after 30 minutes when Olivant’s cross was parried by Skinner, allowing Allen to fifinish the rebound. Loughborough nearly equalised after 37 minutes, but Strouts headed over.
