■ONLY two points separated Grays and Gorleston so a tight match was going to be the likely outcome – and so it proved.
Grays had the better chances throughout the 90 minutes with Gorleston keeper Antoni Burt the busier, making a number of vital saves to deny their hosts.
Both defences proved difficult to break down and with midfields evenly matched it was an entertaining encounter despite a heavy playing surface.
Play ebbed and flowed but neither side was able to dominate possession.
