■ SHEFFIELD FC came out top in a war of attrition between two struggling teams, beating Sherwood Colliery at the Home of Football.
In the first half, a shot from Luke Mangham was the only effort of note, producing a fine save from Jordan Pierrepont. Pierrepont was busier in the second period, including a spectacular fingertip save to deny Luke Aldrich.
The hosts eventually took the lead after 79 minutes when a corner from sub Stephen
Brogan found Connor Cutts who powered home a header to make it 1-0.
