KIDSGROVE ATHLETIC got an opening day win as they defeated Wythenshawe Town thanks to two second-half goals from Oliver Finney and Matt Rhead.
After a quiet first half, Kidsgrove broke the deadlock after 66 minutes as Oliver Finney grabbed his first goal in Grove colours when he scrambled home after Aidan McKearney saved his first effort.
That goal certainly allowed Kidsgrove to grow into the game as they continued to be in control of the match for the remainder of the half as they looked to increase their scoreline.
