LICHFIELD’S first home game of the season ended in a narrow defeat to Anstey Nomads.
Both teams started cautiously, with Anstey appearing more composed. Early chances fell to Bradley Wilson and Joseph Haines before Tendai Chitiza’s close-range finish gave the visitors the lead after good hold-up play from Freddie Mathew John.
Lichfield pushed for a response, with Jack Edward and Haines testing the defence, but Anstey stayed solid.
