■ RAYNES Park Vale made winning start to the season, beating Fareham Town.
The hero was David Omilabu, who scored twice within a five-minute second-half period.
Fareham had made a bright start, but their play was undermined by a failure to put efforts on target, with Vale being more effectice on goal.
After 56 minutes Omilabu made space and fired home, smashing home again five minutes later to double the advantage.
Sam Godfroy nearly pulled one back for Fareham, but Jamal Abubakari made a brave goal-line stop and Raynes saw out the win.
