HARTLEY Wintney opened their campaign with a victory against Hendon.
The visitors had the first big chance after 11 minutes when Mayowa Adaje broke through, then was denied by Nick Jupp.
Hendon pressed through a series of set pieces but couldn’t break through. After 23 minutes, Jupp saved from a Jardell Stirling header, and 14 minutes later Aaron Burchett cleared off the line with Jupp beaten.
