■ BIGGLESWADE scored twice in the second half to see off Rayners Lane on a fractious afternoon that saw 15 added minutes in the second period.
It was a tough debut for the Lane, playing in their fifth different division in six seasons.
After a goalless first-half, the deadlock was broken seven minutes after the resumption, Ethan Kessel getting the goal.
Adam Hunt doubled the lead midway through the half.
