■ MERSTHAM claimed a hard-fought victory at VCD Athletic, with in-form striker Korrey Henry once again proving the match winner.
Despite their position near the foot of the table, VCD made life difficult for their play-off-chasing visitors, defending resolutely and showing real spirit throughout.
The first half produced few clear chances, with home goalkeeper Bobby Mason making several composed saves to keep Merstham at bay.
