DOWNHAM Market did just enough to hold off a determined challenge from a depleted Stanway Rovers.
They made a great start, taking the lead after seven minutes, and doubling their advantage before 20 minutes were up, Charlie Royle getting both goals.
After half an hour, Stanway’s enterprise was rewarded with a penalty and Nat Mardell made no mistake from the spot.
