■ THIS was a tight game with a sparse amount of chances for Emley and an even sparser amount of chances for Newton Aycliffe.
The only goal came in the fifth minute via a penalty scored by the visitors’ Gabriel Johnson.
In the second half Johnson found himself one on one with Aycliffe’s Kyle Seymour and the keeper pulled off a smart reflex save to deny the pacy number ten.
