■ BOOTLE managed to grab their third win of the season in the league as Jayden Sargeant scored in the third minute after receiving a ball from Courtney Duffus.
Minutes later Sergeant made a great run into the box from the left hand side and was seemingly brought down in the area but the referee didn’t see any wrongdoing.
A ball from Jay Roberts found the head of Duffus in the area but his effort only flew way over and wide of the goal.
