KAI Brown netted twice as Waltham moved up towards the play-off places at the expense of Downham.
Brown scored the winner two minutes from time to take the three points at Capershotts.
Visiting Downham took the lead through Charlie Royle in the 18th minute before Brown redressed the balance eight minutes before the interval.
Ellis Brown gave the home side the lead eight minutes after the restart, only for Dylan Edge to haul the visitors back on level terms seven minutes later.
