■ MELKSHAM Town got off to the perfect start under Stuart Fleetwood’s stewardship.
On a chilly day in Wiltshire, the home side had the majority of posession during the first half with Jack Holmes and Stan Wyatt shining.
Just before the break, a tidy move on the right freed Olly Mehew to square for Jamal Lawrence to lash home the opener.
The second half was fiercely congested with Bideford looking to get a leveller.
