WELWYN Garden City leapfrogged Hadley in the table after securing victory in torrential rain at Brick-field Lane.
The Citizens’ started brightly and deservedly opened the scoring in the eight minute.
Hadley failed to clear their lines from a set-piece, and in the ensuing goalmouth melee Steve Cawley was quickest to react and slotted home.
Ethan Rookard and Caw-ley both had good chances in the first half, but were unable to convert.
The visitors eventually doubled their lead in the 60th minute through Nicholas Ralfe.
