■ HERTFORD edged out Beaconsfield in a seven-goal thriller to maintain their push for the playoffs.
The Blues started brilliantly and were three up a quarter of the way through the game, courtesy of playmaker Billy Mardell-Smith. The captain set up Marcus Painter for the first and then added two goals of his own; a near post header and then a close range shot.
The Rams grabbed a lifeline just before the break when Zidan Akers capitalised on a defensive mistake.
