HARTLEY WINTNEY were not at their best, as they scraped to beat Hendon in a dull, foul-filled encounter.
The hosts had fired narrowly wide three times in the first 15 minutes, while Sam de St Croix saw his lob over Josh Strizovic ruled out for an offside.
In the 20th minute, a long ball released Jose Sani, who held off Nikolai Krokhin before rolling the ball home for the visitors’ opening goal.
