Swifts found the net after just 26 minutes when Rami-ah Mills’ cross found Andrew Fennell at the back post. However, the linesman’s flag was swiftly raised for offside.
The Dockers took the lead when they were awarded a penalty for handball. Jones made no mistake against his former club.
The Swifts were handed a lifeline on the stroke of half-time, when Mo Amir was shown two yellow cards in quick succession, and Tilbury were reduced to 10 men.
