■ A RESURGENT Hastings took the three points from a lacklustre Margate.
It could have been different when Ibrahim Olutade hit the bar in the first minute and Ben Greenhalgh fired wide shortly after.
The visitors took the lead though with a well-struck penalty by James Stone after 19 minutes.
Gate had a penalty of their own four minutes later, but Olutade saw his shot saved by Harley Earle.
Hastings hit Gate on the counter when Jordan Mase scored their second in the 41st minute, then in added time Finley Chapman got a third.
