■ EMLEY narrowly beat Bradford PA in a fiercely contested Yorkshire derby between promotion chasers on Friday night.
Avenue will be frustrated to come away without even a point despite having much the better of the exchanges.
Declan Lambton and the Pewits defence in front of him were the reason, keeping everything out.
Just before half-time, and rather against the run of play Manasse Mampala had the chance to give Emley the lead,but he dallied momentarily and the opportunity passed.
The deadlock was broken after 64 minutes.
