FAVERSHAM kept pace with the league leaders as a single goal was enough to see off a spirited Merstham.
In a match that went back-and-forth for nearly 100 minutes, the only goal arrived in the third.
Nathan Wood broke forward and fed Jay Adayi, whose shot rebounded off the far post and Wood, who didn’t stop running, side-footed home.
