GEORGE Okoye’s first-half goal proved to be the winner as Stanway kept pace with the sides in the play-off places with a win at relegation-threatened Grays.
This was a poor game with little goalmouth action at either end.
Stanway created an early chance for Nat Mandell that Grays keeper George Marsh pushed away.
The only goal then came in the 12th minute – George Okoye picked up the loose ball and crossed back in – the ball went all the way into the far corner.
